![]() ![]() I also love it because the Main character talks out to you personally, as if you are actually inside the story line, right by their sides. A graphic novel of The Amulet of Samarkand, adapted by Andrew Donkin, was published in 2010. I love it because a young boy is so powerful at so young (I always wanted to be special like that.) And what's also neat is, you can actually relate to half of the things going on. One second you think you know what's going on, the next, all of a sudden that short little side story plays a huge role. I was so hooked that I would actually read it instead of going to the theaters. The book pages turned into an actuall movie screen! It was amazing. I read it with complete pessimism, ready to totally shoot it down, but I was completely thrown off guard. It was one of the morst tauntilizing, wittiest books I have ever read, (- and I have read a ton). My sister, who is the ultimate book worm, picked this book up for me and told me to read just the first 3 pages. When I was younger, I was forced to read so many stupid books in school, that I hate reading now. ![]()
